The Rawabadung Dam construction that projected at Jalan KRT Radjiman, East Jakarta keeps being accelerated. Thus far, the construction has reached 40 percent. 

The dredging is targeted to be done in the upcoming December

Head of East Jakarta Wa ter Management Sub-Dept, Ahmad Yazied Bustomi told that the project keeps being accelerated for 24 hours. But it is effectively conducted at night which aims to avoid traffic jam. 

"If it's at day, there are only 6-7 trucks of mud transported, while it could be 15-17 trucks at night. The land area is about 2 hectares," he explained, Monday (11/9). 

According to him, the dam will be dredged up to 2.5 meters depth. The whole mud dredged then disposed to an empty land at Taruma Jaya Village, Bekasi Regency, West Jakarta. "The dredging is targeted to be done in the upcoming December," he said. 

The construction budget, he continued, is taken from dam maintenance fund 2015 by Rp 4-5 billion. The whole dam's sides will be installed with sheet pile. "It's installed with sheet pile thus it will not be eroded,” he closed.
